September Sizzles

No Flo For Us

Florence is inland over South Carolina, but only wobbling slowly.   That will allow heavy, flooding rains to continue for our Carolina neighbors with additional tidal flooding and storm surge.   Unfortunately, Florence is a deadly storm.   With additional rain that will exceed 35 inches in some areas, catastrophic flooding will lead to more deaths.

Closer to home, it’s only the heat on the western periphery of Florence that will trouble us over the coming days.    A lone late weekend or next week thundershower is possible, especially south and east of Columbus.   However, let us not get too excited about the prospects of wet weather anytime soon.

A storm approaching the Pacific Northwest will eventually arrive on scene for the following weekend with a greater risk of rain and storms.   Stay cool and safe this weekend.
