Facebook to Fact Check Photos, Videos
FACEBOOK SAYS IT'S EXPANDING ITS FACT-CHECKING TO PHOTOS AND VIDEOS
(CNN) – Facebook announced it’s expanding its fact checking to include photos and videos on the social media platform.
Until now, most of the work by Facebook’s human fact-checkers was focused on text articles.
Just like for articles, a machine learning model will flag photos and videos for potential inaccuracies.
They will then be sent to human fact checkers for verification.
Facebook says its 27 partners in 17 nations will take part in the photo and video fact-checking.
