F22 Fighter Jets Intercept Russian Bombers

THE U.S. INTERCEPTED RUSSIAN BOMBERS NEAR ALASKA THIS WEEK

(CNN) – Two U.S. fighter jets intercepted Russian bombers near Alaska this week.

North American aerospace defense command says the incident Tuesday; wasn’t the first.

The U.S. sent two F22 Raptor fighter jets to intercept the Russian aircrafts.

The Russian planes stayed in International airspace and the military says they posed no concern.

Russia flew bombers in the area September 1st also.

But the second flight was accompanied by Russian fighter jets.

The F22 raptors can reach speeds of 1,500 miles-per-hour and cost $412-million.
