Depression Screenings

Doctors are being urged to screen for depression in their patients.

In Your Health News,

Many high risk patients are not being screened for symptoms of depression.

Researchers at U-C San Francisco studied nearly 3 million people who had been assessed for alcohol abuse.

Less than three percent of these patients wee also screened for depression.

Non white men and those with medical problems were least likely to be screened.
