Pediatricians urging moms to get the kids a flu shot.

The beginning of flu season is just weeks away.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends all children six months and older get the flu season is just weeks away.

Doctors say the flu shot is the best choice for children but, the nasal spray vaccine is back and safe for kids over two.

The vaccine is also recommended for pregnant women.

Last year’s flu season was one of the most severe on record with 179 children dying from flu-related illnesses.
