Storms Set To Return

More Humid This Week

It’s a relatively quiet start to the work week, weather-wise.  However, that will not remain the case for the remainder of this week.

High pressure that has helped suppress most of the thunderstorms to our south over the last few days will be exiting through the Carolinas, and eventually into the Atlantic Ocean.   That will open the door to higher humidity to return.   That fact, combined with the daytime heating of the sun will lead to additional thunderstorms every now and then Tuesday through the rest of the week.   While no severe storms are expected, any thunderstorm in Summer can be accompanied by wind gusts near 40 mph with small hail and torrential downpours.  Always remember that lightning is a killer!
