Showers & Thunderstorms Through the Weekend
Frequent lightning & small hail possible
A weak frontal boundary moves into the area today and lingers for a while, so expect better coverage of scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms through tomorrow and possibly for the weekend. A shortwave disturbance will move in from the west Friday and help add to our chances of rain. A cut off low to our north will develop over the weekend and push a cold front in through the region Monday/Tuesday. It will introduce drier air that will limit rainfall by mid next week.
Some of those thunderstorms could turn strong with lightning, heavy rainfall, and small hail.
Daytime highs will cool a few degrees topping out in the upper 80s to lower 90s over the next 8 days. Nightly lows will range from the upper 60s to mid 70s.
