Yosemite Natl Park Closed Indefinitely Due To Fire
YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK IS SLATED TO REMAIN CLOSED INDEFINITELY DUE TO INCREASED FIRE ACTIVITY
Fresno-Visalia, CA (WFSN) – Yosemite National Park is closed indefinitely due to the Ferguson wildfire.
Park officials cited increased fire activity as the reason for the extended closure in a news release Sunday.
The release says all of the roads used to access Yosemite valley have been impacted by the blaze.
Trees in the area that could fall without warning also pose hazardous conditions, according to the statement.
As of Sunday evening, the Ferguson fire has burned more than 89,000 acres and is 38% contained.
