Wet Weather Tapers Off

Heat Returns

Showers and thunderstorms will continue across the region this evening before winding down and moving away toward the northeast.   That said, low clouds and fog will likely still cough up some drizzle through Friday morning.   However, much less precipitation is expected later tonight into next week.   After the clouds and fog burn off Friday morning, there will be some sun with a thunderstorm back on the prowl.

Higher heat returns this weekend and persists into next week via a partly to mostly sunny sky.   While a stray afternoon thunderstorm cannot be ruled out, most of the time will be rain-free as the plume of moisture out of the Gulf of Mexico will be shut down.   Grab some outdoor plans; just mind the heat.
