Heat Set To Return
Quiet Start To Weekend
A couple small thunderstorms will remain on the prowl throughout the first half of the nighttime hours; much like last night. However, as our latest wave of low pressure begins to move out of the picture toward the Carolinas, somewhat drier air to the north may start to infiltrate. A couple things will happen when this takes place. #1 The number and coverage to afternoon thunderstorms will diminish- greatly! #2 It’ll get hot again, with the heat index topping out in excess of 100 degrees.
On the flip side, another cool front approaching early next week will tap into Gulf moisture, allowing extreme humidity to return. The combination of more clouds than sun, and more thunderstorms will put a lid on the Summer heat headed into next week. So really, it’s a give-and-take: the more storms there are, the less heat; the less storms, the more heat. We’ll continue to go back-and-forth for the remainder of Summer and Fall. Enjoy!
