Tiger Jake Returns to SEC Media Days
AUBURN FOOTBALL'S NO. 1 FAN WASN'T GOING TO LET A CHANGE IN VENUE KEEP HIM FROM GOING TO SEC MEDIA DAYS
Auburn’s number one fan, Tiger Jake, has returned to SEC Media Days and is enjoying the new location in Atlanta so far.
Tiger Jake got the day started off with his favorite coach Gus Malzahn, getting an autograph on his new buisness cards.
“He supports Auburn everywhere, it doesn’t matter. He was at the big alumni thing Monday night and he’s going to be at fan day and all the football games like he normally is,” says Tiger Jake’s owner Ron Sanford.
Since becoming a fan favorite at SEC Media Days last year, Tiger Jake’s popularity has soarn to new heights.
“Tiger Jake has become kind of an idol at Auburn. He’s always at the games, he’s in the stadium, he goes around, he supports anything Auburn. He was taking over by Gus awhile ago when he walked in, but he’ll be whatever Auburn people need him to be,” says Sanford.
When the Auburn football players made their rounds through the hall of fame, I asked Auburn senior linebacker Deshaun Davis if he thinks Aubie has competition with Tiger Jake. At the time he said no way, until he met Tiger Jake.
“Yeah I think he got Aubie beat now that I got him. It’s different now that I have him. I think he got Aubie beat. He’s so tiny though. I didn’t think he was this small,” says Auburn senior linebacker Deshaun Davis.
Tiger Jake will get a freshly dyed coat before the first football game which is completely safe for his coat.
