Rain Chances Going Up!

ONE MORE WARM DAY WEDNESDAY, HIGHS TEMPERED FROM RAIN LATTER WEEK

In the words of Russell Crowe on the movie Gladiator, the time for the dry weather reckoning will soon be at an end over our area.

Moisture will be on the increase starting Wednesday as high pressure weakens and loses its grip over the area. Isolated showers and thunderstorms will arrive tomorrow, then become more numerous into the weekend as moisture content increases even more heading into Friday and Saturday.

A frontal boundary will wash out and become stationary right over central Alabama and Georgia into the latter stages of the weekend into early next week. As a result, enhanced chances for showers and thunderstorms will continue to start off the work week next week as well.

With the increase in clouds and rainfall, though, high temperatures will be held at bay, only reaching the lower 90s. Low temperatures will be kept up as a result of the extensive cloud cover, into the lower to mid 70s.
