Warm Start to Week, Rain Returns
MID TO UPPER 90S POSSIBLE TUESDAY; CHANCE OF STORMS TOWARD THE WEEKEND
After a dry past couple of days, with the exception of stray showers in the southern reaches of our viewing area, we’ll see even more in the way of dry weather coming up for Tuesday.
With dry conditions and a little warmer air in place aloft, highs will reach the middle to perhaps upper 90s in some parts of our area.
Temperatures will get knocked down a little during the second half of the week as moisture returns areawide, bringing with it a chance for the usual afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. These should be typical run of the mill showers and storms; nothing severe is expected.
Moisture content will only increase as we get closer to the weekend, and rain chances will increase accordingly. Highs will be tempered to only the lower 90s as a result of the increased clouds and moisture around, while lows will be in the lower to middle 70s all the way through the weekend.
Early indications are the heat may be on again by the middle and latter part of next week, so our streak of luck at avoiding very hot temperatures this summer may soon be coming to an end. More details later this week as we refine the forecast for the middle of next week and beyond.
