Storms Exit Early

Not As Active Friday

Heavy, drenching thunderstorms; some associated with damaging wind gusts and hail will exit to the south early this evening.   Although things will turn out quieter earlier than previous nights, it will be a clean-up operation for some.

Most storms that re-fire with the heating of the day on Friday will likely be south of Columbus.   That’s not to say there cannot be a stray thunderstorm farther north.  However, it will be a quieter day overall.

Meanwhile, an area of low pressure will form off the coast of the panhandle of Florida, allowing additional storms to move in both days of this weekend.   So, if you’re planning a trip to the beach or staying around town, it is best to plan for some more wet weather and dangerous lightning.
