No Calendar Needed; It’s Summer

More T-Storms Thursday

There are some changes on the way.  Not so much in terms of humidity, although the heat will ease just a tad as the prospects of thunderstorms increases.   Some tropical moisture along the coast of Texas will combine with a cool front from the Plains to help ignite some thunderstorms Thursday and Friday afternoons.   There may be a few storms redeveloping Saturday afternoon as well.   No widespread, long-duration rain is expected, but any thunderstorm can be accompanied by torrential downpours, small hail and strong winds.    Before then, Wednesday may end up being the hottest day so far this year, along with heat indexes running between 102 and 109.  Yikes!
