Alabama Women’s Basketball Announces 2018 Non-Conference Schedule


Alabama head coach Kristy Curry announced the 2018 women’s basketball non-conference schedule on Wednesday, which features two tournaments, seven home games, two road contests and a pair of exhibition matchups.

The Crimson Tide will welcome in both Faulkner and Mississippi College for exhibition contest on Oct. 21 and Nov. 1, respectively, before tipping off the regular season on Nov. 7 against Southeastern Louisiana. From there, UA will hit the road for back-to-back away contests against Utah (Nov. 13) and SMU (Nov. 15). Alabama then returns to Tuscaloosa for three home games, Clemson (Nov. 19), Grambling State (Nov. 23) and Stetson (Nov. 27), to close out the month.

December’s slate begins in Tempe, Arizona at the Arizona State Classic where the Tide will take on Tulsa (Dec. 1) and either Louisiana Tech or the host Sun Devils the next day. Alabama will then host its final three non-conference games in Coleman Coliseum, beginning with South Alabama on Dec. 5, followed by Tulane (Dec. 8) and Northwestern State (Dec. 16). Before breaking for the holiday, the Tide will travel to Orlando to face Virginia (Dec. 20) and Miami (Dec. 21) in the Florida Sunshine Classic.

All game times and television selections are to be announced.

Alabama returns a pair of starters and five letter-winners from its 2017-18 squad that won 20 games and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Women’s National Invitation Tournament. In addition, the Tide welcomes in nine newcomers, two of which are transfers along with seven true freshmen.

Season tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased on General admission tickets are $45 for the public, $35 for groups of four or more and $25 for faculty/staff and senior citizens.
