FACEBOOK SUSPENDS 200 APPS OVER POSSIBLE DATA MISUSE
(CNN) – Facebook has suspended 200 apps for possible misuse of user data.
Facebook says it investigated thousands of apps in the wake of the Cambridge Analytica Scandal; the data firm that harvested information on about 87 million users without their knowledge.
Facebook did not name the apps that have been suspended, but says the developers have been notified.
The company also said the apps would be subject to a more thorough investigation into how they handle user data.
