Lieutenant Governor Threatens Delta Over NRA Decision

(CNN)- Delta’s decision to cut ties with the National Rifle Association could cost them a pretty plenty.

Republicans in Georgia are now threatening to kill part of a new bill that would eliminate a state tax for jet fuel.

Lieutenant Governor Casey Cagle tweeted “I will kill any tax legislation that benefits Delta unless the company changes its position and fully reinstates its relationship with the NRA.”

If the legislation dies, the Atlanta-based carrier would potentially lose tens of millions of dollars in savings.

The bill in question still has to get through the senate before it would become a law.
