Heat Sets Up Shop This Week; Humidity Too

High humidity going along with our recent dose of record warm weather.  And, that won’t change through Saturday.   Although there will be some low clouds and fog to start off Thursday, rain-free weather is expected.

Heavy storms and flooding rain strung out from Texas to the Midwest/Great Lakes will not have the opportunity to move into our area due to a blocking dome of high pressure diverting that rain well to our west and north. That said, once this high pressure begins to weaken a bit and change its shape, showers and thunderstorms will return, but probably not until the 2nd half of this weekend.

If your have outdoor plans, Saturday looks to be the better of the two weekend days despite high heat and humidity.    Once storms return later this weekend, it’s quite likely they will stall across the region, lending toward more rain early next week, along with cooler weather.
