APD Upping Patrol in One Neighborhood After Suspicious Man Offers Candy to Child

Auburn police will be upping patrol in one neighborhood after a suspicious man was spotted.

According to officers, a white man driving an older red pick-up, stopped in the 1600 block of N. Camden Dr. Monday night and held up a bag of candy in front of a child.

He said nothing and then drove away.

The young boy ran to a neighbors house and told them what happened about 45 minutes after the encounter

APD said they’ll be keeping a closer eye on that neighborhood.
