Senator Seeks Records on Trump’s Mansion Russian Sale

SENATOR SEEKS RECORDS OF TRUMP'S REAL ESTATE SALE TO RUSSIAN BILLIONAIRE

(CNN) – A senator from Oregon wants to see the records of president Trump’s sale of a mansion in Florida.

Democrat Ron Wyden, the ranking member of the finance committee, made the request on Friday.

He says lawmakers have to look for potential money laundering and other financial deals with Russia.

Trump sold the house in Palm Beach to Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev in 2008.

He is on a Treasury Department list of businessmen closed to the Kremlin that was released last month.

Trump made more than $40-million in the transaction, but Wyden says the Russian paid more than three times the appraised value of the estate.

Trump said that he never met Rybolovlev.
