Vigil Held for Fallen Georgia Law Enforcement Officer

A candlelight vigil held Saturday night for a fallen Georgia law enforcement officer.

Hundreds of people gathered to pay homage to 26-year-old Chase Maddox.

Maddox was shot in the head during a deadly encounter with a suspect on Friday.

His wife also attended the vigil, clutching a yellow rose.

She is expected to give birth to their second son on Wednesday.

Their first son is disabled.

The police chief is asking that donations be made in lieu of flowers so that a wheelchair accessible van can be purchased for Maddox’s older son.
