Lee County Man Found Dead After Family Reports He Didn’t Return After Hunting
A 51-year-old Lee County man went hunting Friday night and never made it home.
According to the Lee County Coroner, Edward Martin, Jr. went hunting on his land in the 600 block of Lee Road 263 in the Beluah area in the afternoon.
When he did not return, family members went looking for him and found him on the ground below his tree stand unresponsive.
It appears that he fell about 18 to 20 feet to the ground, but it’s unclear at this time if his death was caused by the fall or a medical event.
His body sent to Montgomery for an autopsy.
No foul play is suspected.
