Black Ice Part II

Frigid Start Thursday

A near-record cold air mass will start off Thursday, in the wake of our latest Winter storm.  Shaded areas that didn’t have any direct sunlight will have dangerous compacted snow/ice through the midday hours Thursday.   Sunshine will eventually modify the temperature into the 40s, allowing even shaded area snow/ice to begin to melt.   Now, that can easily lead to spotty black ice again for Friday morning, if any wet spots are leftover.

More tranquil, warmer weather finally returns Friday into early next week.   Start making some outdoor plans for this weekend; it will be that nice!

Another storm approaches Monday or Monday night, but just rain with this one.   Stay warm and safe.
