Auburn Man Arrested for Capital Murder for Shooting & Killing a 27-year-old Man
A 34-year-old Auburn man is charged with capital murder for shooting and killing another man.
Auburn Police Division called to the 800 block of N. Gay St. around 9 p.m. Tuesday night.
Upon arrival, they found 27-year-old Marquavious Boler lying in the parking lot with multiple gun shot wounds.
After an investigation by police, Jeremy Dowdell had an altercation with Boler and shot at him fleeing in a car.
Dowdell was a passenger in the car.
He was later arrested at another residence in Auburn.
Dowdell is now in the Lee County Jail he remains in custody without bond.
“If you fire from a vehicle or into a vehicle and kill the individual, it makes it a capital murder case,” said Cpt. Lorenza Dorsey, PIO Auburn Police Division.
This case remains under investigation since police are still looking for the driver of the car.
This is the first murder to happen in Auburn in 2018.
