CSU Athletics Takes Part in “Cougars for Causes”

The Columbus State University athletics department once again participated in CSU’s annual “Cougars for Causes” campaign this holiday season.

“Cougars for Causes” is a campus wide effort to donate toys, books and food for the less fortunate in the Columbus area. The CSU Police Department organizes the event.

“I’m proud that we participated in this great campaign once again,” said Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations Julio Llanos. “This is one of the most important community events that we do throughout the year and we are all excited to do our small part in helping out those in need during the holiday season.”

Overall, the Columbus State community donated toys, nonperishable food items and baby products this holiday season.
Items were donated to Feeding the Valley, Outreach at St. Anne, Valley Rescue Mission, Open Door Community House, Boys and Girls Club and several other organizations.
