Clark Garners Academic All-America Status


Columbus State University women’s soccer player Riley Clark was named an Academic All-American Wednesday by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Clark was a third team selection and becomes the seventh Lady Cougars to earn the distinction.
The sophomore had a breakout season in her second year with the Lady Cougars. Clark was Columbus State’s second-leading scorer with 16 goals and 36 points. She finished with five multi-goal matches, including her first career hat trick against Georgia Southwestern.

Clark drew All-Peach Belt Conference and All-Southeast Region honors for her performance on the field.
In the classroom, Clark holds a 3.90 grade point average and is pursuing her degree in nursing.

The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2017-18 Division II Academic All-America® teams program.
