LOACHAPOKA SENIOR NOSE GUARD NOMINATED TO PLAY IN NEW ORLEANS
It’s not often athletes from 1-A high school’s get looked at as top prospects in the state, but senior nose guard Quay Porter from Loachapoka high school is proving that wrong.
The Indians ended the 2017 football season with a 2-8 record knocking them out of the playoffs. Quay Porter found out via twitter that his days of playing would not be over just yet.
After sending in his highlight tape to the Offense-Defense All-American bowl committee, he found out that he would be nominated to play.
Only 88 seniors from around the country get the chance to play in this game and it provides a huge opportunity for players to get exposure from college football scouts.
“Yes it will hopefully it will expand my offers and get more colleges looking at me get more exposure. I wanted to play at the university of Alabama so if I could get an offer there that would be amazing,” says Porter.
Other seniors from our viewing area that made the roster include. Riley Maynard from Cairo high school. Jamarcus Knight from Auburn high school. Cole Fries from Harris County high school and lastly Jaqaevius Porter-Scott from Loachapoka high school.
