Georgia’s Chubb and Michel Played a Big Part in SEC Championship
THE DAWGS STAR RUNNING BACKS COMBINED FOR 123 RUSHING YARDS
The big difference in this game was the rushing attack.
Three weeks ago Auburn held UGA star running back’s Sony Michel and Nick Chubb to a combined 48 yards. Last night they combined for 123 yards and had help from D‘Andre Swift who led the team with 88.
Auburn’s rushing leader Kerryon Johnson was held to 49 as he battled through two shoulder injuries. Johnson talked after the game on how he played through the injuries.
“There is probably sometimes where I should have maned up and told them hey I’m not right and let Kam do his thing and let Malik to his thing. You know it is too late to change it now. I just hope they understand my competitive mindset and I feel like they do and it is what it is,” says Auburn junior running back Kerryon Johnson.
