Teens who are paid to manage their diabetes do a better job.


In Your Health Minute, research has shown adolescents  with type one diabetes struggle to manage their diets, exercise and insulin dosing.

But, a new study found teens, who had money at stake were three times more likely to monitor their glucose levels than those who did not.

Experts say similar financial incentives could improve teens management of other chronic health problems like asthma.
