Michelle Obama on Her Hopes for Other Women
THE FORMER FIRST LADY SPEAKS AT THE PENNSYLVANIA CONFERENCE FOR WOMEN
Michelle Obama addresses the Pennsylvania Conference for Women on Tuesday.
Former First Lady, Michelle Obama delivered the keynote address at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
Her participation in a luncheon conversation was moderated by Shonda Rhimes, Executive Producer and Creator of TV shows “Scandal” and “Grey’s Anatomy.”
While chatting with Rhimes, she shared some of her advice to women.
Q—Rhimes: What do you wish more women would do with their time?
A—Obama: “Invest in themselves, I wish more women would find ways to put themselves higher on their priority list.”
The former First Lady went on to say, “If we could just see the humanity in one another. You know the beauty of the position I had, is that I got to see the
humanity of people, even with people who didn’t agree with us, who were on the different side of the issue, because we got to be up close in a way that other people don’t.”
This is the 14th year of the Pennsylvania Conference for Women.
