Showers & Thunderstorms Thursday; Weekend Weather Looks Good

Periods of heavy rain, gusty winds, and lightning all possible today

With ample moisture blanketing the area, scattered showers and thunderstorms are on tap today with the potential for isolated severe weather in the form of gusty winds, heavy rain, lightning, and even a chance (low risk) for some tornado activity.

The threat will diminish as we get into the late evening.

Additional rainfall totals through Saturday morning could reach 1” for our viewing area with higher readings further north.

Highs this afternoon will be warmer reaching the low mid 80s.

We will keep those highs through Saturday with some 90s by Sunday when drier, less humid air moves in.

Nighttime lows will hover mostly in the low to mid 70s.
