Peru: Fujimori in Hospital
FUJIMORI IN ICU UNIT DUE TO HEART ARRHYTHMIA
(CNN) – Former Peruvian president Alberto Fujimori, currently serving a 25 year sentence, was taken to an intensive care unit after suffering from heart arrhythmia.
He was taken to the hospital overnight and is under strict medical observation.
Fujimori’s sentence stems from a “crimes against humanity” conviction.
Fujimori’s family has not publicly commented on his condition.
He is believed to be 79 years old.
