Red Devils Want the State Title

THE CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TEAM HAS HIGH HOPES FOR THE 2017 SEASON

The Central High School football team had a successful season going 10-2, losing to McGill-Toolen for the second year in a row.

This year the Red Devils want to have a different answer for the semi-finals.

Despite losing a few key players, the difference this year is depth.

Although, game experience will play a factor with those players. A majority of them were once backups, who are now filling in at starting roles this year.

Head football coach Jamey Dubose says, “Our main goals are win the region, win the south and get to the state championship and win it. That is what we are trying to do now, that is where our program is now at the moment, and hopefully this year we will have the answers for it and I feel good about where we are at. We’ve had some really good summer and fall practices and we are excited to get on the field and play another team.”
