Georgia Man Arrested for Stabbing Girlfriend in Opelika Parking Lot
A Georgia man was arrested Saturday for stabbing his girlfriend in an Opelika parking lot. It happened at a business on Highway 169 Thursday afternoon. 29-year-old Tony Bentley Jr. is sitting in the Lee County Jail charged with domestic violence in the second degree after stabbing his girlfriend. According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, Bentley stabbed her multiple times. The 32-year-old victim was flown top Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, but does not have life-threatening injuries. According to witnesses, the victim came running into the business screaming for help while bleeding profusely from several different places on her body. Bentley then ran away, but was found hiding in a friend’s car. He's being held on a $15,000 bond.
