Wet Work Week Ahead, Father’s Day Looking Warm
GULF MOISTURE RETURNS, BRINGING SHOWERS AND STORMS
The rain-free weather has come to an end across the viewing area as the flow has returned from the Gulf of Mexico, bringing wet conditions for this week.
Muggy conditions are here to stay through the work week, with chances for showers and thunderstorms each afternoon and evening.
The best chances for rainfall look to be towards the end of the week as a disturbance moves toward the region Thursday into Friday.
Father’s Day looks like rain and storm chances will decrease, but with warmer air aloft, temperatures will increase. Middle 90s will be possible for high temperatures by Father’s Day into next Monday.
For the upcoming week, however, highs will be in the upper 80s to lower 90s, with overnight lows only dropping into the upper 60s and lower 70s each morning.
