Georgia Mother Jumps Into High School Fight

DEKALB COUNTY, GA – High School Fight involving a 16-year-old sophomore caught on camera being attacked by, two students and one adult at Redan High School has gone viral.
The video posted to social media doesn’t only show students beating up the girl – a parent is also seen pulling her hair.
the high school student says a group of three people jumped her in the halls of Redan High School.
it happened last Thursday just before three o’clock and she says it was the tipping point after spending a whole school year being bullied.
“I try to defend myself but i can’t really handle 3 people,”the alleged victim said.
The Dekalb School District says they are aware of the fight involving an adult and says “the District will never tolerate altercations of any type on its campuses.”
school police charged the parent in the video with battery, but the victim’s mother says that’s not enough.
Darlene Smith, the mother of the alleged victim said, “I feel like Dekalb County Schools need to be held accountable just as well as the mother.”
Smith says she plans to pull her daughter from the school district at the end of the school year.
