Lanett Standouts Receive Offers From Alabama

KRISTIAN STORY AND TRIKWEZE BRIDGES HEARING FROM CRIMSON TIDE

While small in enrollment numbers, the footprint of Lanett High School football continued to expand Tuesday as Trikweze Bridges and Kristian Story each landed scholarship offers from Alabama.

This marks the first SEC offer for Bridges after he turned heads at camps recently.  At 6’3/185 he racked up 11 interceptions at his free safety position last season leading to first team all-state honors.  He is expected to see time at wide receiver in 2017 as well.

Story played both ways in 2016, recording 9 interceptions and over 500 yards receiving.  He could add quarterback to his list of duties this fall.

The Panthers made it to the AHSAA 2-A state semi-finals last season before losing to Fyffe.  Two months later the school had a historic national signing day that saw Travon Mathis (Troy) and Tre Story (Richmond) both sign D-1 scholarships.
