Rod Rosenstein Confirmed as Deputy Attorney General
ROD ROSENSTEIN CONFIRMED TO BE DEPUTY ATTORNEY GENERAL
(CNN) – The U.S. Justice Department has a new official.
On Tuesday, the Senate overwhelmingly confirmed Rod Rosenstein as deputy attorney general.
The vote was 94-to-6.
Rosenstein is the second-in-command under Attorney General Jeff Sessions and will oversee the investigation into suspected Russian meddling in the presidential election; since Sessions recused himself.
Until now, Rosenstein served as the U.S. Attorney for Maryland.
