Lone Survivor in a Quadruple Fatal Crash Under Arrest

Driver Arrested in a Fatal 2016 Crash

The driver of a Ford Pickup in a fatal 2016 crash, Markees Spires, 26, of Columbus, Ga., has been charged with four counts of Manslaughter.

He is being held at the Muscogee County Jail in Georgia awaiting extradition back to Russell County.

Alabama State Troopers worked with the Russell County District Attorney’s office on the charges.

The previously unidentified female victim in the crash that occurred August 13th 2016 has been identified as Dyanna Nicole Dixon, 33,  of Columbus, Ga.

Desmond James, 18, of Phenix City was pronounced dead at Columbus Midtown Medical Center.  He was a passenger in the Toyota also involved in the wreck.

A fourth victim, 18 year old Desmond James of Phenix City, has died as a result of the crash near Hurstboro, Alabama.
