Columbus, Georgia Welcomes Valley Rescue’s New Retail and Donation Center

PROCEEDS FROM SALES SUPPORT THE MISSION'S MINISTRIES

Valley Rescue Mission is expanding.

New retail and donation center had its grand opening on Tuesday February 7, 2017 at 3740 Macon Road.

A new donation center opened on the same day at 7466 Blackmon Road.

Items donated are sold in the retail stores with 100% of the sales supporting the Mission’s ministries.

This includes food and shelter for the homeless and hungry.

The two new locations success will provide financial support for a new women and children’s shelter.

The new shelter will double the capacity of Damascus Way, an emergency shelter and women’s recovery program.

Vouchers are given to over 3,300 families each year who visit the store in need of clothing and other household goods.

The retail and donations centers provide community service opportunities, items at affordable prices, and work therapy for men and women in the Mission’s recovery programs.

Women from the recovery program will be working in the Macon Road store’s donation drop-off area three days a week.
