Rain & Storms Returning, Here’s What You Need To Know

a soggy morning commute expected

A soggy morning commute is likely as an area of showers and storms will move from west to east through the area during the morning hours Wednesday. The severe weather threat looks rather unimpressive with a low amount of instability in the forecast. Should that change, however, we may have a few stronger storms–especially from Eufaula to Cuthbert to Americus. Overall, we should just see some heavy downpours as the system moves through before breezy and noticeably cooler conditions take over by midday. Temps will reach their highest point right before the rain arrives and will spend much of the day in the 50’s. Tomorrow night we’ll return to the cold with lows in the 30’s expected as winds ease. As we’ve seen over the last few months–winter won’t stick around as we return to the above average temps this weekend and especially next week when we’ll spend multiple days in the 70’s.
