Fourteen Central players sign, two accept preferred walk-ons at big D1 Schools

Central High School was a madhouse on National Signing Day with fourteen football players signing scholarships.

Jaxton Carson and Demetrius Pettway signed with Kennesaw State, Karon Delince is headed to East Tennessee State, and Devin Mathews and Devante Miles are going to the University of the Cumberlands.

Phillip Parish, Devin Pittman and Alvin Renteria are all headed to Faulkner, Trevor Smith is going to Point,

Ravaughn Turner is going to Hutchinson Jr. College and Zion Webb is going to Jacksonville State.

Trent Kelley and Bryce Wade had a number of scholarship offers but both chose to accept preferred walk-ons at bigger D1 schools.

“It’s just always been a dream to go to Auburn so it’s just a good thing,” Kelley said.

‘”It’s just very exciting because I get to go out there and prove myself, prove that I’m the player that I am and that’s what I’m all about,” added Wade.
