Storm damage closes school in Rehobeth, Alabama

Rehobeth, AL (WTVY) – Rehobeth Elementary School suffered minor damage from the tornado.

School was out on Tuesday as maintenance crews were working around the clock to remove debris.

There was a large tree located in the front parking lot that fell.

It was the main focus of clean-up on Tuesday.

Crews say all buildings of the school are still intact.

Maintenance Supervisor Houston County Schools Dominick Curran explained, “We had a few awnings that got twisted uh you know just over some of the walkways. We’ve had some shingles get loose, structurally we are fine out here.”
Rehobeth schools are now back in session.
