Animal rescue sets up Facebook page for dog who has terminal cancer

Columbus, GA – Many animal lovers know the importance of animal rescues and are familiar with fostering animals. But few know about hospice care for those animals that are dying.

Chester is a rescue dog at Animal Ark and he was taken in by the Ark back in April.

He had a huge tumor removed.

They’ve discovered he has terminal cancer and doesn’t have long to live.

If you’d like to volunteer just contact Animal Ark or another rescue near you.

Nicole also set up a Facebook page for Chester called ‘Chester’s Final Journey’ so you can stay up to date on their adventures.

Instead of Chester being put down or dying at the rescue, the Ark put out the word and now Chester will be able to spend his final weeks being loved in someone’s home.

Nicole Elliott stepped up and volunteered to make Chester’s final weeks happy ones.
