Historic Columbus building is being memorialized

Columbus, GA – A historic Columbus building destroyed by fire is being memorialized.

This is an artists rendering of the memorial planned for the Mott House.

The Calhoun-Griffin-Mott house was destroyed by fire last September.

Total systems was in the process of renovating the home when it burned down.
The company is now working to preserve the memory of the historic home.

The Mott House served as the headquarters of the Union General James H. Wilson during the last land battle of the Civil War.
