Promotion/Commercial Writer/Producer Description: Job Description: WLTZ NBC 38, the NBC affiliate in Columbus, GA, has an immediate opening for a full-time Promotion/Commercial writer/producer in the Creative Services team. Daily responsibilities include writing and producing various news promotions for our morning, evening and late news. Other duties may also include producing commercial spots for station clients, staffing of promotional station events, maintain promotional traffic inventory, as well as maintaining and updating content, graphics, marketing material, and other forms of media on all of our various web platforms. Requirements: Position Requirements: Successful candidate will have a passion for news and will be able to demonstrate the ability to write, shoot, and edit compelling well-branded copy, while being creative and strategic. Must be able to complete a video project from concept to completion. Must be a good communicator and able to juggle tasks as this position will collaborate with news, promotion, production departments and station clients. Successful candidate will have the ability to work well under pressure and with deadlines. Must have knowledge of social media practices. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Other duties may be assigned as well. Experience: Experience Requirements: Non-linear editing experience using Adobe Creative Suite and videography is a must. Experience in graphics and animation is a plus. Experience and working knowledge of website and social media platforms.
