05/09/14-05/11/14

·         Two (2) cars were stolen between 1:30 A.M. and 6:30 A.M. on 05/09/14 in the 2900 block of McKinley Drive. The cars belonging to two (2) separate victims, who were neighbors, were stolen from the driveways of the homes. One of the cars, a 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass, was recovered a short time later on Interstate 85 northbound near mile marker 73. The car had broken down and the stereo had been stolen. The second car, a red 1986 GMC C1500 pick-up truck bearing a Lee County tag, has not been located. There are no suspects and the cases are currently under investigation.

·         An Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Vehicle and Theft occurred between 12:00 P.M. on 05/08/14 and 7:40 A.M. on 05/09/14 in the 1500 block of Fitzpatrick Avenue. The victims reported a purse, several credit cards, shoes, and some perfume were all stolen from the car. There are no suspects and the case is currently under investigation.

·         An Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Vehicle and Theft occurred between 4:00 P.M. and 5:30 P.M. on 05/07/14 in the 1000 block of 6th Avenue. The victim reported that a pistol was stolen from their car. There are no suspects and this case is currently under investigation.

·         A Discharging a Firearm Into an Unoccupied Vehicle occurred between 7:00 P.M. and 7:30 P.M. on 05/07/14 in the 1700 block of Oak Bowery Road. The victim reported hearing a single gunshot and later discovered his car, which was parked in his driveway, had a bullet hole in the rear passenger side door. There are no suspects and the case is currently under investigation.

·         A Burglary and Theft occurred between 3:00 P.M. on 04/01/14 and 12:00 P.M. on 05/09/14 at the old Opelika Body Works building located at 400 Columbus Parkway. Miscellaneous property was stolen. There are no suspects and the case is currently under investigation.

·         A Fraudulent Use of Credit/Debit Card and Theft of Property occurred between 9:00 A.M. on 07/01/2013 and 3:51 P.M. on 05/09/14 at an unknown location in the city limits of Opelika. The victim had an old credit card account used to make purchases in the amount of $1358. There are no suspects and the case is currently under investigation.

·         A Criminal Possession of Forged Instrument occurred between 7:00 P.M. and 7:30 P.M. on 03/19/14 at 701 2nd Avenue (Charter Bank). The victim said a known acquaintance used his name to cash a check for $200. There is a suspect and the case is currently under investigation.

·         A car was reported stolen between 7:30 P.M. and 9:10 P.M. on 05/09/14 from 1000 Jeter Avenue (AFNI). The victim said their Burgundy colored 2006 Nissan Sentra was stolen from the parking lot. The car has not been recovered. There are no suspects and the case is currently under investigation.

·         An Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Vehicle and Theft occurred between 6:00 P.M. on 05/08/14 and 7:00 A.M. on 05/09/14 in the 2000 block of Bruce Avenue. The victim reported that a credit card was stolen. There are no suspects and the case is currently under investigation.

·         A Burglary and Theft occurred between 4:30 P.M. on 05/10/14 and 12:45 A.M. on 05/11/14 in the 100 block of Columbus Parkway. The victim reported that chrome wheels, a television, and some tennis shoes were stolen. The television was recovered outside the victim’s house. There are no suspects and the case is currently under investigation.

·         A Burglary and Theft occurred between 8:30 P.M. on 05/08/14 and 3:12 P.M. on 05/11/14 in the 2200 block of LaFayette Parkway. Two (2) television sets and some jewelry were stolen. There are suspects and the case is currently under investigation.

·         A Burglary and Theft occurred between 12:00 P.M. on 01/15/14 and 10:42 P.M. on 05/11/14 in the 200 block of Carver Avenue. Miscellaneous property was stolen. There are no suspects and the case is currently under investigation.
