Auburn Man Charged With Shooting a Woman Inside Her Vehicle

On Tuesday, May 6, 2014 the Auburn Police Division arrested Kelvin O. Hill, age 27 from Auburn on felony warrants charging him with assault second degree and shooting into an occupied vehicle / residence.

On Monday, May 5, 2013 at approximately 5:44 p.m. police responded to a “shots fired” call at a residence in the 100 block of Lee Road 18. Responding officers located a 26 year old female from Auburn suffering from a single gunshot wound to her leg. She was occupying a 2000 Ford Crown Victoria, stopped in the vicinity of the 3200 block of S. College Street. The victim was treated at the scene, transported to the EAMC Emergency Room for treatment and has since been released.

Auburn Police initiated an investigation that resulted in Kelvin O. Hill, age 27 of Auburn being identified as a suspect. Several shots were fired striking the victim, the vehicle she was occupying and another residence. No one at the residence was injured.

Detectives obtained felony arrest warrants on Hill charging him with assault second degree and shooting into an occupied vehicle / dwelling and took him into custody at the Police Division Building. Hill was transported to the Lee County Detention Facility where his bond was set at $10,000.
