Columbus Law Enforcement Officers Apprehend Murder Suspect

Columbus Law Enforcement Officers Apprehend Murder Suspect

Members of the Fugitive Squad from the Columbus Police Department developed information that a suspect wanted for a murder that occurred in Virginia was located in Columbus, Georgia. After a brief investigation, Columbus Police were able to confirm 21-year old Monte Robinson's whereabouts. Robinson was found at Eagle Trace Apartments on Torch Hill Road. Columbus Police called the U.S. Marshal Service and requested their assistance and together the two agencies were able to apprehend Monte Robinson, without incident. Robinson was taken to the Muscogee County Jail and is being held for Suffolk, Virginia on the charge of Murder.

Robinson is a suspect in the shooting death of a 24-year old man. Angelo Fleming Beale was shot in the face at an apartment complex in Suffolk, Virginia.
